The inaugural Jones Cup Junior Invitational, following in the footsteps of the Jones Cup Invitational, was held December 20-22, 2009 on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club. The par 70 course played at 7,005 yards. This 54-hole stroke play event features 78 of the country's best male junior golfers. The Jones Cup Junior Invitational is an AJGA ranked event.
With blustery northwest winds shortening this year's Jones Cup Junior to 36 holes. Kk Limbhasut was the best man standing when the dust settled on Sunday's final round. Congratulations to Limhasut for carding an outstanding round of four under par (66) and capturing this year's Jones Cup Junior Invitational by two strokes. This victory clinches KK a spot in the highly heralded Jones Cup Invitational, which will be played at Ocean Forest Golf Club on Feb 1-3, 2013.
The Jones Cup Junior boasts one of the best fields in junior golf worldwide. The event is also an AJGA ranked event.
