2017 Jones Cup Qualifier Application

The 2017 Jones Cup Invitational will host an 18-hole stroke play qualifier on Monday, January 16, 2017 at The Plantation Course at Sea Island Golf Club. A minimum of 3 qualifying spots will be awarded for exemption into the 2017 Jones Cup Field. The committee will post the actual number of qualifying spots after entries close but before the qualifying round. A tie for the last qualifier's place will be decided immediately by a Sudden Death play-off.

Practice rounds will be available at The Plantation Course at Sea Island Golf Club on Sunday, January 15, 2017 (walking only). Please call The Lodge Golf Shop to schedule your practice round time (912-638-5118).

Players must either carry their own bag, bring their own caddie or request a caddie ($100 including gratuity).

Time: Starting times 8:30am - 10:50am (#1 and #10 start)

Eligibility: Entries are open to male amateur golfers with an up-to-date men's Handicap Index not exceeding 2.0 under the USGA Handicap System. All players must conform to the "USGA Rules of Amateur Status."

Entry Fee: $195/player including the practice round and qualifier. The qualifier entry fee will be applied to the championship entry fee for those players who successfully qualify.

Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.

All withdraws must be made by calling the Ocean Forest Golf Club (912) 638-5835.

After the start of the qualifier, the entry fee for applicants on the waiting list will be voided.

Sea Island accommodations are available to all players in the qualifier. Call 855-443-0266 to make reservations and reference "Jones Cup Qualifier" for rates.
