The 2012 Jones Cup Invitational will host an 18-hole stroke play qualifier on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Ocean Forest Golf Club. A minimum of 3 qualifying spots will be awarded for exemption into the 2012 Jones Cup Field. The committee will post the actual number of qualifying spots after entries close but before the qualifying round. A tie for the last qualifier's place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off. The field will be limited to the first 72 entries.
Practice rounds will be available at Ocean Forest Golf Club on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Please call the Ocean Forest Golf Shop to schedule your practice round time (912-638-5835). Players must not ride on any form of transportation during the qualifier or practice round. Players may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Ocean Forest Caddies are available by request and the fee is $90 including gratuity.
Eligibility: Entries are open to male amateur golfers with an up-to-date men's Handicap Index not exceeding 2.0 under the USGA Handicap System. All players must conform to the "USGA Rules of Amateur Status."
Entry Deadline: January 6, 2012
Entry Fee: $100 including the practice round and qualifier. The qualifier entry fee will be applied to the championship entry fee for those players who successfully qualify.
Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. All withdraws must be made by calling the Ocean Forest Golf Shop (912) 638-5835.
